Northwestern University Evanston alumna Meaghan Markle is set to marry Prince Henry of Wales aka Prince Harry in May of this year. Everyone loves a summer wedding. Recently, it was reported that the Suits actress received a letter with powder suspected to be anthrax. It was later examined and found to be talcum powder. It’s hard to understand why Meaghan Markle is receiving backlash at every turn because of her engagement to a member of the British royal family. Some say it’s because of racial background, others say it’s due to her lifestyle as an actress. After carefully analyzing both responses, I’m inclined to think she is being persecuted because of her black ancestry, as Prince Harry isn’t the first royalty in the world to marry an actress.
The Queen and the rest of the royal household officially received Meaghan Markle into their family last Christmas, quieting the hums of hateful busy bees.
Despite all the resentment channeled towards these two they are always holding hands and smiling in public, which goes to show that persecuted couples indeed fall deeply in love with each other because of their shared pains.
Unlike other British royal weddings of recent years, more and more people are keen on Prince Harry and Meaghan Markle’s wedding because of the massive publicity of their courtship.
